What Is Huawei SuperCharge?

Huawei’s fast-charging standard — up to 100W on Mate and P series flagships.

Definition: SuperCharge is Huawei’s proprietary fast-charging standard, developed independently of Qualcomm’s Quick Charge and USB Power Delivery. It reaches up to 100W on the Mate 60 Pro and P60 Pro. Like other proprietary systems, it requires genuine Huawei adapters and cables to achieve rated speeds.

SuperCharge and repairs

SuperCharge relies on a proprietary authentication protocol between the adapter and the phone’s charging circuit. A damaged charging port breaks this authentication — the phone falls back to standard 5W or 9W charging. Lint impaction is especially common in Singapore’s humid environment. PhoneDoctor cleans ports first before recommending replacement — often just cleaning resolves slow charging without any parts needed.

SuperCharge tiers

SuperCharge 40W: Mate 20 Pro, P30 Pro series.

SuperCharge 66W: Mate 40 series.

SuperCharge 100W: Mate 60 Pro, P60 Pro — 0 to 100% in approximately 30 minutes.
