What Is Vivo FlashCharge?

Vivo’s proprietary fast-charging standard — up to 200W on flagship X series models.

Definition: FlashCharge is Vivo’s proprietary fast-charging technology, reaching up to 200W on the Vivo X90 Pro+ and X series flagships. Like Oppo’s VOOC, it works by placing the heat management process in the adapter rather than the phone — keeping the device cool during rapid charging. It requires genuine Vivo adapters and cables to achieve rated speeds.

FlashCharge and repairs

Like all proprietary fast-charging systems, FlashCharge requires an authentication handshake between the adapter and the phone’s charging circuit. A damaged or lint-impacted charging port breaks this handshake — charging falls back to standard 5W speeds regardless of how fast the adapter is rated. After a full-specification port replacement at PhoneDoctor, FlashCharge speeds are restored. Budget replacement ports that lack the correct pin configuration do not restore fast charging.

FlashCharge tiers

FlashCharge 44W / 66W: Vivo V and Y series mid-range models.

FlashCharge 120W: Vivo X80 series.

FlashCharge 200W: Vivo X90 Pro+ — charges from 0 to 100% in approximately 15 minutes under ideal conditions.
