What Is Warp Charge / SUPERVOOC?

OnePlus’s fast-charging technology — and how a damaged port kills charging speed.

Definition: Warp Charge is OnePlus’s proprietary fast-charging standard used on OnePlus 8 through OnePlus 11 series. Newer OnePlus models (OnePlus 12 onwards) use SUPERVOOC — the same technology as Oppo’s charging system, following OnePlus’s merger with Oppo under BBK Electronics. Both work by keeping heat generation in the adapter rather than the phone.

Why it matters for repair

Warp Charge and SUPERVOOC require an authentication handshake between the charger and the phone’s charging circuit. A damaged or corroded charging port breaks this handshake — the phone defaults to standard 5–18W charging regardless of adapter. After a charging port replacement at PhoneDoctor using a full-specification port, fast charging speeds are fully restored. Budget ports that lack the correct pin configuration drop to standard speeds permanently.

Warp Charge vs SUPERVOOC speeds

Warp Charge 30 / 65: OnePlus 8 and 9 series — 30W or 65W depending on model.

Warp Charge 80: OnePlus 10 Pro — 80W charging.

SUPERVOOC 100W+: OnePlus 12 and later — shared with Oppo’s ecosystem, up to 100W on current models.
